Palestine ambassador fetes his visiting minister  

 

ISLAMABAD, NOV 28 (DNA) – Ambassador of Palestine Walid Abu Ali hosted a dinner for the visiting Assistant Minister of Palestine Dr. Mazem Shamiah, who visited Pakistan to hold meetings with high level government officials.

 

Among others, Leader of the House in Senate Raja Zafar ur Haq, Chairman HEC Dr. Mukhtar, Rector Comsats Dr. Juanid Zaidi, former Senator Enver Baig, Senator Sehar Kamran and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also present.

 

The Palestinian minister in his brief remarks said his country regarded Pakistan as a very important state in the Muslim ummah. Pakistan, he said, has already supported the Palestinian cause whole-heartedly.

 

The minister said world Muslim organizations such OIC should play more active role for the Palestinian cause adding Palestine was thankful to Pakistan for raising this issue at all forums.

 

Earlier Ambassador of Palestine Walid Abu Ali thanked the guests and hoped Pakistani nation and government will continue to support Palestinian cause.

 

He said he was indebted to Pakistani brothers and sisters for their unflinching support and hoped this support shall be forthcoming even in the coming days.

The guests were served with traditional Palestinian cuisines.=DNA
