Nishtar Hockey club thrash Kuri in Inter-Club hockey tourney
ISLAMABAD, APR 22 (DNA)- Nishtar Hockey Club gate-crashed into the semis of Inter Club Hockey Tournament by defeating Kuri club by 08 goals to 01. The Nishtar Club will now play semi final tomorrow (Monday).
The Nishtar Club, from the outset, attacked opponents goal post in an aggressive manner, that put Krui Club on the defensive.
Usman, Nauman, Awais who constituted a formidable forward line from the Nishtar hockey club, did not allow the opponent defense to stand on its feet. Three early goals virtually turned the match one-sided and Nishtar easily came home with a margin of eight goals.
Qazi Atta, Sohail Janjua, Azeem Jutt, Nasir and Asif Bhatti, the team officials congratulated the team for putting up excellent performance and exhorted them to continue playing with the same spirit in order to win the upcoming semi final and ultimately the final as well.- DNA
