MSA of Pakistan has won World Versailles Design Award, 2018

PARIS, MAY 16 (DNA) – MSA an Architectural firm of Pakistan has won the prestigious Prix Versailles 2018. The World Architecture Award for its uniquely and esthetically designed WARDA flagship store in Peshawar.

Mr. Jerome Gouadain, Secretary General of the Prix Versailles and Mr. Ernesto Ottone Ramirez, UNESCO’s Assistant Director General for Culture gave away the Award to Syed Fawad Hassain, the founder and principal architect of MSA during an impressive ceremony held at the UNESCO Headquarter in Paris yesterday.

The event was attended by Ambassador of Pakistan to France and Permanent Delegate of Pakistan to UNESCO Mr. Moin ul Haque, UNESCO delegate, high ranking officers of the French government, members of the French civil society and media persons in large number.

While addressing the award giving ceremony, Mr. Jerome Gouadain said that MSA’s design was a beautiful blend of traditional designs and modern architecture techniques which made the WARDA project standout amongst the other competitors.

Syed Fawad Hussain while talking on the occasion said that winning the prestigious award was a great honor for him and for Pakistan and vowed to continue his mission of reflecting the architecture heritage of Pakistan in his company’s design projects.

Earlier, Syed Fawad Hussain called on Mr. Moin ul Haque the Ambassador of Pakistan to France in the Embassy of Pakistan. The Ambassador congratulated MSA on receipt of the coveted Versailles World Award and hoped that MSA would continue its creative endeavors to win more laurels for the country.

The award is named after Versailles palaces of France which are considered a model in terms of quality, beauty and elegance of architecture of today and tomorrow. The Prix Versailles supported by UNESCO receives entries from renowned architecture firms from around the world.
