ISLAMABAD, MAY 31 (DNA) – Leaders of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the other day have accused two members of  JIT of harassing Hussain Nawaz during the investigation process.

Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb and Daniyal Aziz were addressing a press conference at the Press Information Department. They criticised the attitude of the two members of the JIT namely Bilal Rasool and Amer Aziz.

They also claimed that the judiciary was maintaining a relaxed attitude towards the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan.

The minister also alleged that the aforementioned mentioned members of JIT were biased towards the Sharif family, hence PML-N had shown concerns over their inclusion in the JIT, she added.

Mariyyum also alleged that the two JIT members had misbehaved with Tariq Shafi, a cousin of the prime minister, and said that they had told  Shafi not to appear before the JIT again.

She went on to claim that the officials had told Shafi that he could face a jail term if he did not withdraw the affidavit he had submitted in the Panama Papers case. “How can JIT members tell anyone what to submit and what not?” she questioned.

She also stressed that Rasool and Aziz must publically declare that their close association with the opposition parties would not affect their performance as members of JIT.

The minister also expressed concern over the leaking of some papers, saying that it was upsetting that JIT’s summons to Hussain Nawaz were seen on social media.

The Supreme Court should take notice of the leaking of JIT’s summon.

She added that despite Hussain Nawaz being a non-resident Pakistani, he appeared before the JIT even though he did not have to abide by the directives of JIT.

Daniyal Aziz severely criticised the PIT chief Imran Khan and termed a proclaimed offender. He accused the Election Commission of Pakistan of being too lenient with Khan, saying that no action was taken against him for not appearing before it.=DNA
