Malik departs as Bumrah lifts India in depth overs
ABU DHABI, (DNA) – Captain Sarfraz Ahmed was sent to the pavilion after scoring 50 runs as Pakistan reached 168 with 12 overs remanining against India in the third match of Asia Cup Super Four stage.
Pakistan were slowly regaining their ground Sunday after losing their top order to India in the third match of Asia Cup Super Four stage.
Imamul Haq (10), Fakhar Zaman (31) and Babar Azam (9) were dismissed in the first 15 overs of the match. Imam and Zaman managed to hit two boundaries each.
Pakistan were at 130 after 30 overs with captain Sarfraz Ahmed and veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik on the pitch.
Pakistan had won the toss and opted to bat first against unchanged Indian side in continent’s premier ODI competition.
In the league staged, India had crushed Pakistan by eight wickets.
Pakistan made two changes as Amir and Shadab returned while Usman Shanwari and Haris Sohail were rested.
