ISLAMABAD, SEPT 09 (DNA) . Ambassador of Yemen Mohammed Motahar Alashabi hosted a reception for the officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs at his residence.

The outgoing Special Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aizaz Ahmed was the chief guest. Additional Secretary Middle East and other officials from the same desk attended the reception.

Ambassador Alashabi while speaking on the occasion lauded the services of the outgoing Special Secretary and said during his term as head of the Middle East section, the embassies hailing from this region got his full support.

The ambassador said Aizaz Ahmed is a career diplomat who put in his best efforts to promote Pakistan’s relations with the outer world.

The ambassador also welcomed presence of other senior foreign office officials and said Yemen; Pakistan relations have always been excellent.

He said, during his tenure as ambassador in Pakistan he got full support and cooperation from the Ministry of Foreign affairs as and when required.

Those who attended the reception included Shah Jamal Special Secretary, Syed Hassan Raza Additional Secretary Middle East, Ms. Samina Afzal Director General Middle East, Junaid Zaidi Executive Director COMSATS, Regional Director Islamic Relief Organization Dr. Abdu Mohammed Atain, Dr. Jamal Thabet of World Health Organisation, Dr. Rukhsana Qamber President IRS and other notables.
