51 suspects arrested in police, Rangers operation in Karachi
KARACHI, JUL 27 (DNA) – Police and Rangers arrested 51 suspects and recovered weapons in a joint grand operation in Karachi’s Baldia Ittehad Town.
According to details, the security personnel launched search operation in Ittehad Town and detained 51 suspects who failed to prove their identity. The officers also conducted raids in its adjoining areas.
On the other hand, one dacoit was killed while two fled the scene during a police encounter in Nazimabad Number 2.
Earlier, Punjab Rangers along with police and intelligence agencies intensified operations against terrorists in the province.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), operations were conducted in Lahore, which resulted in apprehension of 21 suspects, including Tehrik-e-Taliban Swat terrorist, unregistered Afghan residents and a kidnapper gang.
Operations have been further intensified on the directions of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
