Nepra notifies 20-paisa hike in electricity tariff

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) Wednesday notified a 20-paisa increase in electricity tariff. According to the notification, the prices have been increased under September’s fuel adjustment charges. Consumers of electricity will have to bear an additional burden of about Rs2.50 billion. The corresponding fuel charges component in September were Rs5.12 per unit. “Discos shall reflect the fuel charges adjustment in respect of September 2018 in the billing month of November 2018,” it said.
