Pakistan, Russia agree to expand defence cooperation

MOSCOW, APR 24 (DNA) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa reached Russia on official visit. COAS met Colonel General Oleg Salyukov, Commander Russian Federation Ground Forces at Kremlin Palace. Upon arrival COAS was presented guard of honour who laid wreath at the Tomb of unknown soldier. CCI unanimously approves first-ever water policy

ISLAMABAD, APR 24 (DNA) – The Council of Common Interests (CCI) on Tuesday unanimously approved first-ever water policy and Pakistan Water Charter. Twin blasts in Quetta, atleast two soldiers martyred and eight wounded

QUETTA, APR 24 (DNA) –  : Two explosions were reported in the city on Tuesday evening followed by gunfire. Atleast two soldiers have been martyred and eight others have been reported injured in the blasts. According to reports the explosions have taken place in the Mian Ghundi area of the city. The bomb disposal squad has been dispatched to the site of the explosions. The nature of the explosion is being examined.

Pakistan appoints first female diplomat in Saudi Arabia

JEDDAH, APR 24 (DNA) – Setting a new precedent, Pakistan for the first time in its 70 years history has appointed a female diplomat in Saudi Arabia. Fozia Fayyaz Ahmed has been designated as consular at Consulate General Pakistan in Jeddah, reflecting the country’s resolve to empower women.
