Russian National Security Council top leader arrives in Pakistan to strengthen defence ties

ISLAMABAD, MAR 14 (DNA) – Deputy Secretary National Security Council of the Russia Federation Mikhail Popov called on Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here on Wednesday. Seven dead, over a dozen injured in explosion in Lahore

LAHORE, MAR 14 (DNA) – Several people were reportedly injured in an explosion near a police check-post in Raiwind on the outskirts of Lahore on Wednesday night. According to the DG Operations, police were the prime target of the blast. Four people, including two policemen, were martyred while 35 people were injured in a blast on Raiwind Road on Wednesday. A heavy contingent of police led by SP Umar Farooq reached the spot and cordoned the area. The rescue operation is underway. Emergency has been declared in Jinnah and General hospitals.Read More


Sherry Rehman’s nomination as Senate Opposition leader, A bad move

COAS General Bajwa visits Bahawalpur Corps Headquarters

BAHAWALPUR, MAR 14 (DNA) – The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Headquarters Bahawalpur Corps on Wednesday. The army chief was given detailed briefing by the commander Bahawalpur corps on operational preparedness of the formation.
