PQA secretary dies after suffering heart attack during Senate body session

ISLAMABAD, JAN 02 (DNA) – Port Qasim Authority (PQA) Secretary Mohammad Saqib suffered a heart attack during a session of the Senate’s standing committee on maritime affairs in Islamabad on Tuesday and passed away. Saqib was briefing the session when he went into cardiac arrest. He was rushed to a hospital but he expired during treatment. Sources said the PQA secretary was taken to the hospital in Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani’s vehicle as there was no ambulance available nearby.


10 FC soldiers injured in Quetta explosion

QUETTA: JAN 02 (DNA) – As many as 10 Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers were injured in an explosion in Quetta Tuesday evening. According to sources, an FC check post in the city’s Baleli area was targetted. Security forces surrounded the area and rescue teams reached the scene. The injured were shifted to CMH, Quetta. Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaulluah Zehri condemned the attack, and directed the authorities to arrest the attackers at the earliest.


Pakistan, India exchange lists of nuclear installations
